I'm pretty sure there are two reasons for it
1. they are obsessed with their appearance from any and every angle- narcissism- in love with their own image
2. they want to show the good ones to chad
personally I try to avoid dating girls that take nudes of themselves and have sent them out so I'm a probably going to be single forever
