Thank you! The bike was $500 then I had to buy a bike rack, helmet, seat bag, water bottle/bottle holder, air pump and fenders.
Im going to use the hike as much as possible to help deal with my depression and get me out more

Just buy a used one on Craigslist. You want something really lightwieght. You should be able to comfortably pick it up. Weight is the most obvious tell if something is quality or not. Go to a bike shop and just look at the difference $200 makes in a frame.

The folding is so it can fit pretty much everywhere and be kept inside while I'm at work.
It weighs about 30 pounds because of the steel frame. It rolls while folded so carrying is a moot point.
