I guess I don't for a number of reasons:

Harder for me to find older more obscure stuff since we can't play popular songs, station rule.
Have to play 2 new songs (within last 3 months) if u play music, station rule.
I just really enjoy this music; maybe I feel like they take it a bit further by over exaggerating in their style idk.

Although i certainly enjoy the older stuff i guess i find it easier this way.

I really have nothing against the new stuff, honestly. A lot of it's pretty really good. I never thought the synth music I grew up on would ever come back in fashion - but with the accessibility of it now (no longer having to go to record stores and special order stuff on import), I think it's managed to influence younger musicians.

I hope you're right. It would be nice to see the community continue to grow; i've never met someone in real life who knows about this stuff. God forbid you even try to introduce people to this stuff, let alone talk em about something older like new wave influencing it as most folks just tend to shut ya down and dont even want to give a listen beyond the ole top 40 list. It's a real shame.
