if you think someone would be worried they caused your death or might misconstrue something then it's best to leave a note.

otherwise I wouldn't, can't really say it's better but it does seem cleaner and easier for others to explain when they talk about it later.

I would not recommend suicide at all, but exit bags/gas would be my alternative to guns if I were to ever attempt. I would definitely write a note, I would probably write a book, even- I think it might clear (even change) my mind. I remember one guy wrote a 2000 page note, and although he still went through with it, I'm sure it was a great experience. Have to read that sometime.
