Wild felines roll over on their backs when they can't flee, allowing them better use of their claws and teeth against their predators. So, don't be too surprised when your sweet kitty bites or scratches when you go in for the belly rub, because their reaction is instinctive.

Cat did this but didn't break the skin so I assumed it was playing and played along.
My sister hated when the cat did it though cause she's a little bitch and can't handle being nibbled and grazed.

Fucking hate cats. Little self-righteous cunts. All I want to do is pet them a few times and what do they do? Pull out their damn claws and swing at me.

I learnt this the hard way when I got my cats desu
That's how my dads friend lost his hunting hound to a lynx.
He was training it in the forest (he had a rifle with him) dog had a radio collar so he could keep trach of it and also listen what happens around the dog.
Suddenly the dog started sprinting like hell in to some direction, it was not for long before through his radio that was connected to dogs collar he heard some noise which sounded like a lynx.
When he finally located the dog, dog was there laying in ground with its guts spilling out still loyally wagging its tail when his master came. But it was too late, dog was bleeding a lot and there was no way to rescue it so he had to shoot it right there and then.
Lynx fools animals attacking it by laying on their back and when animal comes to bite it, usually the throat like most do, lynx then suddenly kicks with its very strong back legs with nails out in to the stomach. And that is usually end of that.
When my cat rolls on his back he loves having his chest rubbed, but not his belly.
And for some reason he only lets me do it. Anyone else he does the biting and scratching thing. I guess he knows I'm his main man.
