Maybe some do, but just look at all the people here who obsess over "damaged" girls with mental illnesses. Women universally expect men to be confident and well-adjusted members of society, even if they aren't those things themselves.

It's impossible to find a woman who likes guys with low self-esteem and/or depression, but there's plenty of guys that would be ok with that in a girl.
