My question was strictly related to oxycodone. My source got taken off fentanyl and put onto OC's instead, which I prefer. Fent is extremely sketchy, fell asleep way too many times with a patch in my mouth. Quite lucky to have woken up at all.

I don't mess with needles anymore, but IV-morphine is the closest thing I can get (reliably) to heroin here. Opiates are scarce in Australia, when it comes to anything other than scripts.

every time i get any sort of injury take 90mg codeine doses every morning and every night until it goes away
this has happened to me several times in the last year for weeks at a time
i have never felt anything close to addiction and can stop at any time with no consequences
is codeine just not addictive or wtf is going on there?

They're all vastly different and therefore have vastly different effects.

Even when I was fairly opiate-naive I'd need between 300-600mg of codeine to attain a solid buzz (utilising the CWE method) but if I was to take so much as a 1/4 of a fentanyl patch I'd be on the nod within 20 minutes, and my breathing would be severely restricted.

For comparison:
>Morphine: noddy, severely sedating type high. Extremely close to heroin (just 1/2 as strong).
>Oxycodone: uplifting, energetic high. Strong euphoria. (Sometimes I won't sleep at ALL, and feel compelled to go out and do things. I've been known to go to the casino at ridiculous times of the morning, or go over to my friend's house where they're all on meth, and be able to keep up with them.)

i was doing oxy and hydro for a while then realised how fucking expensive they are and switched to kratom which was shit at first but i got used to it and now im quitting and the wds still arent fun. i relapsed so i could actually sleep last night.

Any current or ex opiate junkie will tell you to quit now while you are ahead. It will inly get worse and worse to the point you never thought life could be this empty and horrible. But almost every "beginning" user has been told this and everyone ignores it thinking they are the exception and will either quit soon or have it under control.
The truth is you are already addicted and on your way to become a full blown junkie, you just dont realise it yet. If you dont quit asap I can guarantee you that your life will revolve around opiates and acquiring money to support your abuse within the next few months.
Once you've been addicted to opiates life will never be the same.

it's probably too late to tell you to stop, you won't listen anyway. in a few years once you realized how ruined your life is and you want to quit, use suboxone and taper off it over a month, do not use methadone and do not fall for long term maintenance.

If I succumb to opiate addiction and my life ends up in tatters, I'll at least have the awareness to be able to realise it. That in itself would be enough to prompt me into getting some help. If I lived in a country with ready access to heroin, I might be in a spot of bother, but I don't, and I don't IV anymore (last time I did my hand blew up like the size of a golf ball, that was almost a year ago - never again). Forgive my nativity if that's what you think, but I've already been through hell from the use other drugs already (long term side effects). I don't have much to lose anymore, and have managed to limit my usage to once or twice a week, maximum three times.

Whatever makes me happy and enables me to let my hair down on weekends, I say.
