I feel like I'm losing my sanity

I keep getting angry over the slightest thing. I find myself getting drawn into extreme political ideologies and obsessing over political and social issues to the point where it's all I can think about and I feel ill just picturing a future where Britain isn't white and I have to live with non-whites. I feel bad for thinking these things but I am terrified of the future in so many ways, especially how I'll probably never retire and I've never a job and god I feel sick just typing this

I can't focus on anything and all I want to do is just curl up in bed and post here or die. My eyes droop and I look permanently tired. I have no skills and no friends. I'm constantly afraid of opening up to people in case they see how pathetic, hateful I am. Everyday at uni I sit alone and feel ill when I see couples or groups of friends laughing. Sometimes I wish I was a girl, sometimes I wish I just wasn't such a pathetically insecure, lazy, shy ugly freak

I never used to be this bad but years of loneliness have fucked up my mind and I feel ill just thinking about my past and my future. I pick at my face and I have horrible scars and spots all over my face because of how much I hate myself. I can't even trust my family any more. My sister is a SJW freak. It's a full length venture. Over 100000 words long. Well, thank you for indulging me. It started well, I think. It was about a psychotic on bennies, and an autist ATOS assessor. Gradually mystical elements were introduced borne of psychosis and other things, but the power creep and anime tropes eventually led to it jumping the shark. It was meant to capture the zeitgeist surrounding disability and mental illness discrimination in a horror setting. It was heavily influenced by Clive Barker. I called it 'A Culture of Responsible Adults'.

In terms of criticism, the department had a large bias against genre fiction of any sort. I do think it was lacking in parts though; it was juvenile now and again, drawing influences from all over the place. That said, and this might sound bitter and foolish, there were definitely elements that the markers just didn't get. Mental illness was a big part of it and that permeated the writing style as well. For example, the autist had a certain number of paragraphs of a certain uniform length and a certain number of pages each chapter so that each chapter of his was immediately visually identifiable. The psychotic used different fonts to represent the voices he heard, and so much of what he did took the form of dialogue though he was alone. Only one character followed conventional format, for the sake of balance.

The first two characters experienced big events that altered the structure of their chapters and that was hugely symbolic but the criticism was pretty much 'wtf they're totally different now, no character development 2/10'.

This is good; being able to identify the weaknesses in it helps you remedy them.

And so is this. You know your intentions, and if you feel you conveyed them with appropriate obviousness or subtlety, then you've done your job. If someone doesn't get it, go back over it and re-assess it. If you see why they wouldn't get it, fix it. If it looks fine to you, they just don't get it and it's their fault, not yours.

I think you should go back to it at some point, lad. It sounds like you've got a fine work in there somewhere, and there's no reason it couldn't be made fit to share with the world.

How I met my father

Ffs lads I've really done myself in at Uni

I study History and I decided to do my dissertation on why Islamic extremism is so prevalent in the world today

I thought it would be simple and I could just say that Islamism is so popular because of its nationalist elements (which history proves is very potent at bringing people in) and the fall of the Ottoman empire and the threat of the West would be a neat answer to the question.

But lads this is actually such a huge fucking topic. The Islamic holy books are fucking mental, and I've realised this issue goes a lot deeper than what I first thought.

I've basically just asked a question which could never be answered in a dissertation. I'm risking a shit grade and looking like a tit.

What the fuck do I do?
