Ask a line cook anything
I cook food for a living. It's not thaw and serve shit
Do you believe that opening a restaurant is a smart idea in the long run? I have no interest in it, but I do watch a lot of those Kitchen Nightmare type shows and they really make it seem like one of the most stressful jobs is to be a restaurant owner. Fake or not just curious if it really is actually Hell on Earth.

I used to be a line cook too. What kind of cuisine do you cook at your job? And what kind of cuisine do you enjoy cooking at home?
Fuck yeah i love food

If it's hell on earth you have a flawed business model.
Restaurants are great money if you know what you're doing. There's a lot of points of failure too. I say you should work as a cook, then a chef, then eventually you can own your own place

I work in an Irish pub.
I like cooking mexican stuff most at home.

Which is what I mostly tend to see. A lot of the time it's just rich old people who open then and expect it to run super smoothly by the employees while they make bank sitting at home.

That's just baby boomers being lazy pieces of shit.
A general rule is that you cant just hire someone to do all the work. If they're that talented they own their own place already
