Exactly, OP. Put things into perspective. You're actually pretty lucky. Unless your parents are real hardasses who will cut you off, you're in a pretty comfy situation. A situation most of us would kill to be in.

You don't have to worry about going into debt, financially ruining yourself and your parents if you fuck up, etc.

Just go to college, then graduate school, etc. Get all involved in academia. Your parents (especially yoir professor mom) will understand.
