Is it weird to eat at a restaurant by yourself? I'm feeling suicidal, and I am craving seafood. I am attending school on the coast and I'm close to a decent seafood restaurant; not 5-star but not shabby either. I was thinking about going tomorrow to enjoy a meal before I decide to kill myself, but for some reason I still think that it might be weird. Who here /dinealone/?

It's weird but at most people will just give you a weird look or vibes. dining alone is terrifying
>>
>craving seafood
How does this happen?
Don't kill yourself, human suffering is a blessing. You could have been a tiny seal and I could be clubbing you to death.
>>
If you're going to eat food on your own then use ubereats dumbass. Eat alone in the comforts of your own home.

That's what I do

If your restaurant doesn't have it then find another restaurant
>>
>>35414928
Ask if they have a bar; it would be less weird.
>>
>>35414928
Idk if you're wealthy and just stopping in for a bite not really but if you're poor and it's like an event it's sad
>>

>human suffering is a blessing
what in the world
>>
>>35414928
It depends on the person. I see a business man eating alone and just assume he's on a work trip or something.
>>
I haven't eaten a meal with another human being in nearly five years.

You will be fine.
>>
>>35414928
I do it and I'm not even down with the autismus.
>>
>>35414928
It is kinda weird.
Better order takeout or something and just get it over with, pronto.
>>
>>35414928
that's not weird at all OP, do it

If I lived near any restaurants and had money to spend I'd eat alone all the time
>>
just dress like a normie and everything will be alright
>>
Restaurants are

- a ripoff in terms of price, not only the food, but also the tipping bullshit
- have terrible sanitation standards

If you want to waste your money and get sick, then go ahead and eat at a restaurant. Otherwise, just cook your own food, it's not that hard. Seafood isn't hard to cook either, especially shrimp. But I wouldn't eat fish, because the oceans are very polluted, so have fun eating a dose of mercury, garbage, fukushima radiation and microbeads.

It's not weird, and non-sperg people won't think anything of it unless you go dressed in your favourite moeshit t-shirt and cargo shorts.

I work near a heap of restaurants and people are always eating there alone during what I assume is their lunch break.
>>
>>35414928
Rule of thumb:

Breakfast is OK to go alone
Lunch is OK to go alone
Dinner is weird to go alone

do it for lunch, only dinner alone is weird
>>
>>35414928
Hey, I often do it, I find it super comforting. I grew up with consistently bad experiences whenever I went to dine out because my parents always ended up having fights and I'd always end up in tears.

So I really always prefer to always eat my meals by myself, I want to savor my food and enjoy it. In the past I only ever got to enjoy the entrees and then have to get my pleasure cut off by some petty disagreement.

A fancy restaurant manager once reached out to me during one of these moments to ask me what was wrong, I didn't say much but I felt more loved right there and then than I had felt through most of my early teens (when my parents started falling out of love).

OP here, just realized how retarded I sound. Despite the mixed advice, I'm going to eat alone. I might as well eat like a king before I go out. If I can, I will livestream. If not, I'll make sure to make a thread before I go. Bless you robots

I live in a dorm, so I don't have access to a kitchen. Otherwise I would prepare my own meal.
>>
>>35415358
bye op, hope you go painlessly. don't worry about what normies think of you, so don't let them take away a final pleasure
>>
who cares your going to kill yourself unless your doing this for attention?
>>
>>35414979
I'm poor, so it will be an event. Haven't been out to eat in years. Last time I went was for my dad's birthday a few years back
>>
>>35415358
Attaboy op. If this is going to be your last day on earth then you shouldn't care about anything, but then you probably won't care about killing yourself.

This is going to be the cycle you're in now. See you in a week or so space cowboy.
>>
>>35415358
Don't kill yourself, man. Surely you have more that you want to do beyond eating a good meal. Go fuck a heap of escorts, go on a road trip around your country, splurge on all the video games you've ever wanted to play, kill a hobo, go swim with dolphins, watch a movie with your mum. There's too much to do to die early.
>>
>>35415423
Pretty sure there's a communal kitchen you could use. My dorm has one one per each set of 2 floors. There's many dishes that can be prepared with just a hotplate, or a microwave, or a pressure cooker, and those could easily fit in a dorm room. If you really wanted to, you'd find a way to make it work.
>>
>>35415583
No communal kitchen either. There's a microwave in the lounge, but that's it.
>>
>>35415447
It will be bad and depressing then
