Am I wrong for thinking dating is an ultimate misery?
"Best" case scenario;
You fall in love with her and spend the rest of your life getting sick of that person 50% of the time and the other 45% of the time being completely affected by her existence (being messaged by her. Not being about to take chances that you would have ect).She then dies when you're like 80 and you want to kill yourself because you can't sleep without her snoring or some shit.
"Worst" case scenario;
You spend lots of money on a date for nothing.
Is the best option to be alone and self content?

Depends on who you are, and who the person that you're dating is, and what you both ultimately want out of life. You're completely glossing over the companionship aspect and family aspect.
There are lots of advantages and disadvantages to both, but the fact is that the vast majority of people seek out companionship in their life for a reason.

Ughh, actually women generally live longer lives due to having less stressful/dangerous employment and lives. So statistically she'll live longer than you and waste all the resources you gained on crap and leave nothing for Noone.
