>get letter in mail
>open it
>turns out its addressed to the previous tenant
>its a debit card

>try to return to sender
>already threw away the envelope so cant return to sender

Cut it in half and throw it away
Opening someone else's mail is a federal crime, anon. You just admit to a federal crime on an FBI monitored board. The FBI are on their way right now to shoot your dog and rape you and take your computer.
fucking cut the card in half and move on with your life you sperg
the dipshit who forgot about his card will just get a new one
Why not take it to the nearest branch of the bank?

Like everyone else said, just cut it in half, probably not activated anyway.
If you want, check to see whether it says First Class or Presorted Standard by the stamp.
If it says presorted standard, you can definitely throw it out.

ok, the thing is that i already make an attempt to contact the person through email. the person told me that she has already been informed by her institution, and i should just Return to Sender.

yeah you'll be fine. Tell her just to contact her bank and get a new card, you've already disposed of the one that you got in the mail
