>British society (I can't speak for the rest of the world but I imagine it's similar mostly)
>Took everything natural about life away from us over the ages, forcing us to live in the current socioeconomic model of studying & working for most of our lives, as opposed to living off of the land & nature like every other lifeform & our own ancestors
>We're the only animal in nature that labours endlessly for material possessions, or labours for anything other than food & survival
>That same society
>You're judged to be a lazy scrounger if you don't want to work even though we left you no other option
No matter how I think about it logically, I just can't see modern life as being anything other than slavery. The only other options left if you don't want to be a part of the system (you had no say in) is to go with a tent in the woods scrounging for food, or go beg on the streets. It doesn't seem natural at all. I'd honestly rather the government just gave me a little patch of land to grow food on and a hut to sleep in with some fresh running water nearby.
>>35377903
well done. you made it past the age of 12.
>>35377903
>I'd honestly rather the government just gave me a little patch of land
Lazy fuck. Go out and earn your patch of land.
>>35377922
I'm nearly 30 and I'd kill myself but I'm not even depressed, not really. Just filled with a lack of purpose or meaning, coupled with anxiety & paranoia and complete social retardation. I was never gonna make it in this weird world.
>>35377923
What you're saying comes under what I said in OP post. We have to go out and work for someone else in this socioeconomic model to get anywhere or anything. And there are no choices. None of us had a say in this model of society, we're just born into it and the consensus is be a part of it or fuck off.
It all boils down to
>You can't have any livelihood unless you spend 40 hours a week in some place you don't want to be, plus travel time, plus endless menial social interactions
No other lifeform or animal on earth has to go through all of this bullshit just to get by
>>35377903
Lmfao you are such an asshole. Get a job, kid.
>>35377973
>No other lifeform or animal on earth has to go through all of this bullshit just to get by
They haven't reached tribe like mindsets, let along anything close to a modern society. If you don't like modern life, play the game till you can get what you need out of it to quit it.
You want land handed to you but no other lifeform or animal has land handed to them, they earn it.
>>35377903
You might want that, but I fucking love the thought of being able to call the police any time someone acts against me.
I like being protected, I like my welfare, I like my roads, I like the system
I like the fucking fact that if I wanted I could literally start an online business for fucking free from nothing.
I like capitalism, and I like the government.
>>35377973
If we lived like animals you would already be dead, because someone more successful than you would have either enslaved you or killed you.
This slavery is much preferable than a might is right world like the animals have, because I actually have options.
>>35377903
>live in primitivist hunter gatherer society
>directly enslaved by biological drive
>have to toil hunting, fishing, picking berries
>much shorter lifespan and no medicine to cure diseases
Wow it's almost like we have it much better than we did back then. Hmmmmmm
>>35378005
Why am I an asshole?
>>35378022
>no other lifeform or animal has land handed to them, they earn it
Most wild animals I can think of just live on the land roaming freely without any worries. Even plants start off as seeds just drop in the muck somewhere and grow without any worries. Humans are the only ones, again, that go through so much bullshit to get by.
>>35378033
You realise all of those things you mentioned are socialistic, then you randomly throw in liking capitalism at the end?
>>35378057
>If we lived like animals you would already be dead
I didn't say we should live like animals, I said the socioeconomic model is fucked. Humans should be free to live and do as they please and, born on this earth, should have human rights of: food, drink, shelter. The right to live, basically.
>>35378080
>enslaved by biological drive
What? How? How any less so than we are currently? All we have now is all the societal bullshit heaped on top of our biological needs & instincts.
Tell me how I have anything better when interviewers never give me a job because I'm socially retarded and I have to go to some soul wrenching welfare appointments every week or two to have someone look down on me and anxiety & paranoia on top of that bullshit. I think I would've been a lot happier ten thousand years ago than I am in present life. Even if I only lived 40 or 50 years. I probably wouldn't be so mentally ill, for a start.
>>35378143
>How any less so than we are currently?
In a modern society, the reason we are so enslaved by le "material goods" is that we need to spend comparatively less time dedicated to subsistence. In a hunter gatherer society, much more of your time is dedicated to securing food for yourself and the rest of your tribe.
>Tell me how I have anything better when interviewers never give me a job
You are engaged in fantasy. Life was even harsher back then. The fact that you are a grown man and able to subsist without having a job is testament to the efficiency of modern society. In any other age, you would have been thrown to the wolves.
