I have a window unit. It's always on the coldest setting running all the time. I love wearing hoodies,you see. I think it might have to do with being self concious about my body. It's cold in here. I am using a thick blanket for my legs.
I am also reliant on the background noise it makes. With it running I can hear shit right outside my door totally easily. I like to think the AC masks my noises from the outside too. Without it running you could hear every debris of trash get shifted every hiccup I make ever clatter on the keyboard.
