I forgot the obligatory "does anyone else read Homestuck or know this feel?" so someone can reassure me I'm not trash.

I read Homestuck while it was being released. It was really great, at least up until Act 6. It sucks that Hussie embraced the Tumblr and just gave up on being funny.

Homestuck is deeply ingrained in the psyche of many of its fans, which speaks to it's unusual power. I hate this fucking webcomic but I can never forget it. It defines a certain part of my life. It's very engaging

That might have to do with its very archetypal characters. They are all color coordinated, zodiac coordinated, real life stereotype coordinated (Gamzee is a juggalo), etc.

They also have an interesting love system based on the suits in cards. It all is super archetypal.

This is an area of my life I hate coming back to but I've done so every night this week. It's actually pretty fun sometimes, but I got moderately deep into the fandom and it scarred me. Wouldn't have been half as bad if I didn't have this one relationship that I fucked up.

I did find a pic of my old Jake English cosplay, back from the first con I went to. My life's kinda gone downhill since.

I know this feel. I did this during the mlp raid. At first I was just shit posting ponies every where. Next thing I know I was watching it to ridicule the baronies. Then I started watching it by myself. I also accidentally got into k drama because of my mom.

I'd look up the "Let's Read" with animations and voice-acting for it on JewTube, it's more engaging, easier to get into. Don't bother reading after Act 5, some of Act 6 can be good but it really starts to go downhill, and lose the original "feeling" it had.

Unsurprisingly, all the voice-actors started quitting midway through Act 6. Kek't it.

But I like Equius too because he's one of the coolest looking and his complex is entertaining.

I literally only got into it in 2017. And I skipped to part 5. I'm probably going end it there too based off of what people are saying.

But it bums me out that I can't talk about specifically only Part 5 with sane people in /current year/.

Aradia - mostly only did shit in the background
Tavros - accomplished nothing
Sollux - somewhat shit personality, but relevant until (((act 6)))
Karkat - was funny, looked like he was going to do something important, then turned into a joke character
Nepeta - cute, but only there for Gamzee to kill
Kanaya - interesting but didn't do much, later turned into "Rose and Kanaya"
Terezi - interesting and relevant, but then fucked up once for proving Gamzee being a shit, and then again for trying to make Vriska important
Vriska - yes, but no
Equius - interesting, but only there for Gamzee to kill
Gamzee - somewhat thought out personality, post-murderstuck Gamzee could have had a lot of potential but acted like a lobotomy patient and then shoving him in a fridge apparently just solved everything and no one had to care about it again
Eridan - meh character, became irrelevant
Feferi - shit character, accomplished nothing

Hussie used far too many characters at once and did almost nothing with most of them, an then warped their personalities throughout Act 6. Hussie is a hack.
