It takes several year of convincing yourself. Brain is quite powerful thing and you can force this upon yourself with enough effort.

Bonus points if there's some regular source of romantic feelings towards people (f.e. say you're at school and several times a day you walk around some cute girls, watching romantic movies/anime) so you can focus on numbing and denying that feeling of natural attraction.

It takes some time, but it's possible. Can't guarantee success, even I don't know how far did I get after ~2 years of doing this since I don't find myself in situations like above for some time but I've definitely made pretty big progress, so I believe that I'm on the right way to get there.

One more thing. I'm not really sure if you can go back after commiting into this. It definitely changes you. I can't imagine myself being with a girl anymore or relating with them in any way. (not that i had any chance before, but.. you get me)
