I've almost exclusively (98% or so) solo queued all of my games so far, getting to mid-masters. So, I don't believe it's fair to say I got carried, I didn't get there on a win streak and I played enough games that I should have dropped otherwise. I'm beginning to question solo queuing to grandmaster though. I think I want at least someone to just duo queue with. Any no-life bots want to be said duo queue partner?

Thats as much as Ive figured out. I try and charge a lot of people or the enemy rein diagonally into nearby walls and objects. If youre charging long distances or into the enemy line, then youll be slaughtered.

If you want to seriously play a team-based competitive game you need to have a team. It's a necessary thing to reach the higher levels of gameplay. You need to have people who you can coordinate and run strategies with, teammates that you know you can rely on and ultimately hold accountable for their play. Playing with random people who do random shit is not going to lead to the kind of teamwork that you need at a high level.

See, this is a good example of why you need a team. When you solo you need to have the skill and determination to hard carry and bring the team to victory all by yourself. Even then you can easily lose because you're dealing with randoms, it's unpredictable. That's why you need teammates who can reliably pull their weight. It's the difference between being responsible for your own performance, and being responsible for the whole team's performance. Much easier to win when the only person you need to carry is yourself.

I feel like im in a catch 22 there. I don't know how to co ordinate with a team because I never have, so I could practice with a team, but no one wants me on a team if I cant. Also, how do you find teams that aren't just going to be the same randoms you find? What I've done is just adding people I think are good and playing with them. Then weed out the ones that aren't actually good or you don't get along with until you've got a nice little team. You don't necessarily need to be best friends although it helps, you just need a working relationship.
