How the fuck does someone live in NYC? There's just no way an average person out of high school can go there. Wtf is that?
>>
why would anyone want to live in that shit hole is beyond me
>>
>>35345225
There's no opprotunity in my small town
>>
poor people generally have to share a small shitty apartment and deal with a long commute, it's the only way to live there as like a dishwasher or something
>>
>>35345201

You can if you're rich :)
>>
>>35345297
By share do you mean bunk beds
>>
>>35345330

Some people are probably forced to share bunk beds, wouldn't surprise me

If you get a gf it would be easier to split a bedroom too
>>
I can't imagine living in a building with hundreds of other people above and below you in a single building.
>>
I've lived here most of my life. Im 23.
>>
Its the Rich fags city no poor people allowed
>>
>>35345201
>an average person out of high school
College is the new high school now apparently.
>>
>>35345330
>>35345376

I can find a number of rooms available for $500/month

At minimum wage (approx $1500/month gross) you can probably afford that, but it's gonna suck
>>
>>35345561
Is the 500 for a split room? How do you find shit like that? Is it only in expensive cities like NYC and sf or do people do it in cities like Atlanta and Miami? Why don't people in NYC just move to Miami or something.

that takes time and money , you are right that it should be a focus.the kikery in NYC is insane
>>
>>35345598

some of them are for a shared room and some of them are for a private room

literally just googled room share new york, clicked on the first hit and arranged them lowest price first

Some cities are cheaper, but you get what you pay for. Expensive cities are expensive because of the amenities and job opportunities they offer. Very few people get rich in Atlanta.
>>
>>35345710
I want to try to produce music and the music I make originated in Atlanta and I also want to attend college. I didn't know Atlanta would be a lot worse than NYC to get rich though I figured NYC was for investors and shit.
>>
>>35345225
this, I live here and only because my parents never kicked me out

I paid $3.25 for a large coffee and a buttered bagel this morning, there are ways to eat cheaply here. that being said most of that bill is alcohol.

I wish I was that rich that I could easily afford this...

I don't really know anything about Atlanta DESU. If the scene you want to be in is based there I say give it a shot, but be prepared to move down the track if it turns out the scene has moved too.

As long as you are able to find a job it should be way easier to live in than NYC. It's probably a little harder to find a job in Atlanta than NYC based on the unemployment rate, but they're similar. There is also probably less fun shit to do in Atlanta, but it will still be a huge improvement if you are coming from flyover land.
>>
>>35345933
Ok thanks yeah anything would be an improvement over this and I just want to work in security or as a waiter. I find a job here pretty fast so I don't think I'd need much money to move. I just really want to live next to the ocean and have fun shit to do thoigh.
>>

I live in Queens, basically a suburb and I'm NEET. My father makes $140,000 as a construction worker so was live a nice middle class lifestyle.
>>
>>35345638

living in Australia this looks like a good deal lmao
>>

>>
>>35345201
NYC is the financial capital of the world, it's not really a place you move to right out of high school, it's more of a post masters degree (preferably in finance or mathematics) kind of city.

That, or as other people have mentioned, you live with like ten people in an apartment, hustle like crazy, and hope for the best.
>>
>>35346048
Why are all the blacks on section 8 if construction workers make a fortune there

Human beings are not meant to live in a concrete grid of sanctioned-off living quarters. They go crazy, hence why there are so many crazy people roaming the streets of NYC

I figure that this will be an enormous scientific revelation similar to the "cigarettes are bad" of the 1950s
>>
>>35346039

Rosedale

I'm a neckbeard so don't get your hopes up
>>
>>35345638
Lol, I live in Manhattan and every fucking restaurant that does some virtue-signaling bullshit like this gets boycotted by me. I am not even that political of a person but their business deserves to suffer on principle that they choose to alienate half the country for the sake of seeming "morally righteous" when in fact they are just smug pricks with big opinions.
>>
>>35345638
i think 60 dollar for video games is retarded this bitch spends 50 on french toast made by spics in a dirty kitchen.
>>
>>35346091
This

Businesses should under no circumstances go political , you are literally alienating half your consumer base
>>
>>35346070
was just curious, I have fully embraced 2D. valley stream here btw. I went to the rosedale checkers last week.
>>
>>35346065
Because hillbillies aren't crazy
>>
>>35346065

I disagree, cities off a much higher quality of life than rural or suburban living, the problem is we don't have enough of them, demand exceeds supply and so the price of space becomes unaffordable
>>
>>35346065

I met the dude in the pic like 3 years ago on Easter day. Went to go visit my cousin that works on Wall Street and ran in to this guy right when he became popular from that trumpet video. I talked to him for a bit and he was a nice guy. He knew about the video and said he was having a bad day and was sick of people making noises all the time. Guy was cool but huge Jew.

>>35346130

Yoooooooo I live near hook creek and Merrick road by the 7-11 and the McDonalds with the Pizzeria and the Hispanic restaurant on the opposite corners. Crazy as fuck.
>>
>>35346091
>half the country

Didn't like 99% of New York vote democrat?

Isn't Queens supposedly the most diverse area on the planet?

New York especially is historically associated with immigration, more than 1/3rd of the city's population was born overseas
>>
>>35346173
damn bro you're like a mile and a half from me tops. small board but I figure there's a lot of robots in the suburbs of NY given how fucked up the social environment can be.
>>
>>35346217

NYC has a population of 12 million and it has an estimated illegal immigrant population of 2 million people.
>>
>>35346234

How old are you? Want to make sure I don't know you.

Been neeting it up since graduating college.
>>
same way I live in chicago, you get a studio apartment 30-40 miles outside of town and take the train
hell, I even have a decent salary job and rent on a studio is like 40% of my money
>>
The vast majority of Americans simply cannot cut it in NYC. The city would literally chew you up and spit you back out to the suburban hell hole you came from. Only the elite of the elite, the best hustlers in the US (therefore the world), and people that are top tier at what they do can bang it out in NY. The only goobers that live there have rich as fuck parents that pay their rent (hipsters). NYC has the best in the world in everything, the competition to live here is stronger than anywhere else that's why rent is so expensive. If you can hustle and make it on the east coast, the rest of the US (and the world) is like tutorial mode.
>>
>>35346241

I'm not just talking illegals I'm talking all immigrants
>>
>>35346217
Theres plenty of people on all sides of the political spectrum here. When Businesses that go political it rarely goes well , you are effectively telling the other side to fuck off
>>
>>35346217
20% of Queens went for Trump, which means probably 1 in 5 people in the borough hate liberal bullshit. this corresponds mostly to the white areas of Queens, of which there are still strongholds. diversity does not extend everywhere.
>>
>>35345201
I don't see why you would want to live in a ridiculously expensive cesspit that's dominated by fat niggers, Jews, and hardcore liberals.
>>
>>35346278
lol
that's a pretty good pasta mind if I save it?
>>
>>35346281

And I'm telling you that it's so bad that illegals are literally 1/5 the population of the city. Everyone that works a normal job in the city is either an immigrant or family.
>>
>>35346270
26, I'm back in school myself.
>>
>>35346323

Aw shit, I'm shitting bricks. Same age as you. I might know you. It's unlikely but possible.
>>
>>35346350
strong possibility, honestly jelly of you being able to neet it up this long.
>>
>>35346378

Need to find a job ASAP though. Won't be able to live the NEET life much longer.
>>
>>35346298
NYC is a leftiys wet dream , you can get scammed by goldberg, enjoy the smell of fresh piss everywhere you go, get flipped out by the natives and meet minorities of every variety hooray!
>>
>>35346166
Cities can be good but NYC is just overbearing. It's too much, people aren't meant for it.

You don't appreciate just how colossal those buildings are until you're in them. It's surreal how big they are.
>>
>>35346407
that's why I went back to school :^)
allows me to waste all the time I want
