How is your investment portfolio coming along anon?

How often do you manage it?
>>
Going rather well. The big chunk is in a broad index fund, so not a lot to manage there. Some is in a private equity fund of funds, externally managed so I just check the monthly reports.
And some more is what I invest privately and manage myself. I do check those daily but it's, compared to the rest of my investments, a rather small percentage and just "fun".

Nice range of investment anon.

I have around 30k in diverse range of individual stock investments. Diversification is key as I'm not a massive risk taker. I understand equity's are high risk, but to lower than risk I diversify.

Around 50k is in managed funds, normally medium risk.
>>
I have about 70k in diversified funds. Just sold off a sizeable chunk of US equities, now is a good time to sell before the inevitable Trump crash.

>implying I have one

Kek.

I wish I did.

Thanks. My father's in finance and I'm basically expected to take over sooner rather than later so I've always been interested in (and groomed into) investment.

Individual stocks as in stock picking? How's that going for you?
>>
How do you get rich by investing in stocks if you're poor as fuck to begin with
>>
>>35328539
You don't, poor people don't invest, they try to not starve or something.

To be honest, it's just alot of own judgment and based on past performance.

I work in pension, so have access to funds on a daily basis with different investment managers, so learn alot from that

Not sure I'd call it a portfolio, I've got 250 shares in Visa (V), had for some months, too lazy to log into the brokerage now but at the moment I'm up quite a lot. Market is pretty bullish at the moment so it's hard to pick any particular losers anyway.

Beyond that I get dividends from a few companies that I deal with, everytime I buy or sell anything to them they grab a small amount of the transaction into my "ownership acct", and the yearly payment is a percentage of those funds, decided by the board every year based on how well the company's been doing.

Then I have a part in a large forest and fishing/camping area. Some nearby properties have shares in this area, which goes back several 100 years, so if one buys a certain property in the area it might come with something like 0.34 shares in the forest. My property has 2.52 shares, which equals about $3000 a year or so.

Most just sits at regular shit bank interests tho, because I need to pay bills and stuff within my biz. Oh, and I lent 9k to some guy some time ago too, he just paid it back with a $600 interest added, that was nice.
>>
Just rememberred I have a fund too, "global dividend fund", something grandparents used to save for me in. Thing about funds is that many of them charge this nausseating annual fee and due to having eggs in many baskets they may be a little less risk but generally that also means the move like a slug.

Fucking shit at the moment.

I only trade on my countries market to keep things relatively simple. Problem is, my country is being crippled by socialism, and we haven't seen real growth in ages.

Wish I was a fucking American.

Why would you limit yourself to only one market, and a shit one at that?
