No. There's only armed "gaurds" at the most common antarctic spots like the part under south america, africa, and australia. Obviously there aren't armed forces around the entire thing.

The north pole however is entirely gaurded for some reason probably for some other /x/ related reason that isn't flat earth related or maybe it is who knows.

I understand the ignorance. The reason why things go over the horizon and such or there's a limit to how far we can see is because of two factors. Perspective and Atmospheric lensing. Its mostly atmospheric lensing but perspective is still a very important part aswell.

Just lights in the sky. Likely just really tiny balls of plasma but they could be lights held in water aswell. We're not really sure what they are exactly but we know what they're not millions of miles away because of how when you look at them with a telescope or something of that nature they show up in high detail and look nothing like what NASA says they look like.
