they made me pretty even when i was on them. i didnt really experience highs or low. if you are not motivated because of major depression they may help you but they wont magically give you motivation. if you dont care about the sexual side effects i guess theres no reason not to try them out.

SSRI's work for some people, and not for others.

I'm currently on 10mg of Escitalopram (more commonly known as Lexapro) a day.

Side effects are it's a little harder to ejaculate, but everything down stairs still works. It's helped with my depressive moods a lot, and my anxiety as well. I would only reccomend antidepressants if you are literally in "I want to die and I have nothing to lose" mode. Otherwise, I would recommend just trying to eat healthier and getting some exercise and finding a hobby. Antidepressants should only be used as a last resort after you have tried everything else, and not as an "easy way out".
