I don't talk to people I meet daily and when I do I jokingly belittle their intelligence or adeptness at something at which I'm marginally better.

There's even one girl that seems to enjoy bickering and challenging your intelligence, and if you give her a witty response that she can't respond to you can see a hint of enjoyment in her face.
