Well, OSRS makes for a pretty good substitute, but it pretty much feels like nothing but a grind when trying to unlock some of the higher-end content. Just recently finished all hard diaries and are working on elite diaries and master clues now.

I still had fun when doing "efficiency" for my max cape, but that was when you had to actually do a skill to get exp in the skill. Nowadays (hell for years), every skill has a minigame for it which is free and gives like 100k+ exp/hour
