We call ourselves robots because we've been through so much mental (or physical) torment that we no longer feel anything, we're numb. I don't get that from this board at all. Your feelings are very much alive. Your anger towards females and "normies", your sadness, guilt & regret sourced from your longing to fit in/have normal relationships/to be successful in life/etc..
You don't act like robots at all.
I'm 20 years old and haven't had a single friend or anyone to talk to in over 5 years. My family has always been distant so I don't have any support in that regard either. My plans of a steady career are on rocky roads as I realise how competitive the industry is.
There was a point in time when these things mattered to me, they upset me a lot. I used to cry myself to sleep most nights thinking what life could've been & what impending obstacles the future holds, but as time went on I became more resilient. The things are the same as they were 5 years ago, but I've accepted that this is how my life was meant to be.
This is why you should stop your pointless complaining and also realise that this is the harsh reality of life. Expecting things will only end in disappointment. Gratefulness is the key to acceptance.
Also, ask me anything.
why haven't you killed yourself yet?
Is original text even original?

>waaaaaah im so lonely
Shut the fuck up you faggot. I've got one leg and even I bitch less than you

Life can go a million different ways, death is a one-way path. If you want to live like I do, you have to think this way.
>>35280152
did you read anything lol

>we no longer feel anything, we're numb. I don't get that from this board at all. Your feelings are very much alive.
>lists only negative emotions
I guess the state of "robothood" in your eyes is hoping for something good for once, but only numbly expecting what's come before.
I come from another time. I've been here since day one, when people started flooding in from /b/ and wondered why they can't spam memes. Do you know what happened to the original /r9k/? It eventually splintered off into specific boards, and was deleted.
If you want a look at the more hopeful and imaginative side of robots:

Ok so you're saying robots are numb in the sense that they can't feel an positive emotions. My definition has a much larger range of emotions under its umbrella. Two different opinions, sure, that happens all the time.
My goal with every post I make here is to help these robots out BECAUSE they're not the "hopeful & imaginative side". The people here need the most attention imo. They're way too bitter to be left alone.

>I'm a whiteknighting busybody
You can probably help more people out by being a vocal example of chill, rather than adding more fire to the.. fire.
>>35280411
I am being chill about it. I don't understand, what am I doing wrong?
>>35280444
>what am I doing wrong?
Some people don't want help, and see an attempt at help as a normie coming in to ruin their fun.
If you really want to change people, you need only one thing, OP.Dank memes.
>>35280492
but I'm very obviously not.
>>35280086
It's incredible how much the definition of "robot" differs from one person to another. I personally always considered robots those who browse this board, at the very least the socially unlucky ones.
>>35280892
Dank memes make life worth living.
If you really want to change people, make dank memes. Just come up with something that's easy, obvious, and copiable.
>>35280930
That's just how I seen it. We have a tough exterior that prevents penetration from incoming feels.
Also, I wouldn't say we're socially "unlucky", it's more of an ineptitude.
>>35280965
>Complain about your shit life
>Browse dank memes 24/7 to distract you from your shit life
If you do one, don't do the other.
>>35281121
My life is awesome.
Fuck you.
>>35281127
(then why are you here)
this is original btw
>>35281186
Like I said, I've been here since day one.
It probably says more about you than about me that you think this way.
Take care of yourself, Anon.
>>35281203
You're here because you've always been. That's not much of a reason to stay. I guess if you enjoy it here, there's no reason to leave. I wouldn't find this place that interesting if I couldn't feel empathy for the other posters. I don't know how you do it.
I don't need to take care of myself. Whatever happens, I'll be unchanged. Years of conditioning and experimenting with self control have made me like this.
OP here. calling it a night. if you wanna talk, leave a kik
>board is literally called "ROBOT 9001"
>We call ourselves robots because we've been through so much mental (or physical) torment that we no longer feel anything, we're numb

Kik Hi.im.tobey
>>35281833
i know about the whole algorithm & its name yes. the way its turned into what it is, thats what im trying to explain, not its origin fuck.
>>35280086
Outside this board, it is very hard for me to let my feelings out. I can't remember the last time I cried. And I probably want to do so, since I feel a constant angst/anxiety that leaves me disabled for even talking about it.
>>35280086
>We call ourselves robots because we've been through so much mental (or physical) torment that we no longer feel anything, we're numb
No. We call ourselves robots because this site is "moderated" by an script called ROBOT9000. You know, the one that doesn't let you post unoriginal things.
>>35281936
see >>35281929
ffs
>>35281949
You're still wrong though. Being a robot is not about not having feeling. It never was. It was about not being able to relate to normies.
>>35281976
Yeah, turns out there are more perceptions of what it meant than i realised. Thats just what i've been lead to believe. It at least ties the name & setting together
