>look fine in the mirror
>look like some albino mongrel when I look in my camera
Am I really that ugly or is it not accurate? After seeing so many pictures as a kid, to my teens, then now, I look at all of them and I seriously do not know what I look like. I am completely confused on what I truly look like.

FUCKING THIS
>look great in some mirrors
>look terrible in the back camera of phones (the good one)
>look great in front facing (selfie) cameras
>some girls like me
>some girls think im ugly
WHAT DO I BELIEVE
the size of the lens has something to do with it

its also the distance of the lens from your face. a close lens will distort the size of the nose and forehead, so photographers will position the camera (with the lens) far away, and zoom in instead

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
HOW DO I FIX THIS
When you look at yourself through a reflected surface, you see a mirrored version of you. When you look at a photo of you, the picture of you isn't mirrored so you see how everyone else sees you. You're more used to seeing a mirrored version yourself than you are a photographed version of you.
People who draw people are often told to flip their canvases or look at their canvas through a mirror to notice any oddities. You're blind to the things you're used to seeing and when you see them differently, the oddities become that much clearer.

Take photos of yourself.

This is true. If you can, look at yourself through a two mirrors. Restrooms with a cabinet mirror work great for this. You'll get to see yourself from the other angle you never see. Prepare to be shocked.
