I left when I was 20 because it got to be so overwhelming that I just packed up and left and shacked up with the first guy I could find.
Ironically I spent 4 years with someone just as possessive as my parents, and this time incredibly mean and abusive about it.

I live alone again now and my parents sort of understand the kind of shit I'll get into if I'm suffocated, but the damage is pretty much done at this point.
I'm just a weird friendless loner now, trying to make sense of the world now and all the strange people in it.
