i don't get it
>>
It's something to do I guess
>>
Because getting emotionally invested in something you care about is fun and can reveal more about you and the thing you're following.

Wait, I mean - Fuck le normel fags, emirite? xddd sad frog
>>
bread and CIRCUSES my friend

It's like being invested into a video game, but without any effort whatsoever needing to be put into it. Even normalfag, reddit-tier gaymers need to learn how the game works, how to move the character, and how basic game elements work. You only need the first of those if you want to get into sports. It's the absolute bare minimum amount of investment you need to get into anything

Why do robots follow faggot video game players so religiously?

I don't get it.
>>
>>35265461
Watching sports doesn't require that much effort, no. Neither does watching video games.
Playing sports requires much more effort, as does playing video games.

You're comparing playing video games to watching sports, when it should be watching video games vs watching sports, which are equally as pointless.

Feels good to be a part of something I guess. I can enjoy an entertaining game of something but that's about it.

So how come a lot of american sports fans are shown as being fat/out of shape on the bleachers?

Doesn't seem like they are learning the sport or being motivated at all-.
>>
>>35265581
The thing is I've never seen anyone over the age of 15 only watch vidya. However, I've seen loads of normies who religiously watch sports but never/almost never play them. I didn't really think that people who only watch vidya exist

because they imagine the athletes fucking their gfs. they're cucks any gys who worship niggerball of any kind need are pathetic losers.

just think about it all the sports fans are middle aged guys, who don't have naything more interesting to do then watch niggerball, they feel a comrodoeri for their team when they win they say 'we kicked your guys ass' even though they just sat lazily watching.

sports fans are pathetics who not only repress cuck fetish but also i think are mildly fucking gay they like to watch men slam into eachother and brag about how good another man is 'oh nigger james drives the lane so hard nobody can stop him' i heard men say this shit about basketball players. i said 'that might be the gayest thing i heard someone say' and they just get this grimmace on their face 'shut up idiot' or something because htye know how pathetic they are.
>>
>>35265654
They know how the sport is played and how to follow it, they just don't try to participate in it actively or do much other than watch
>>
>>35265672
I'm 26 and I enjoy watching Counter Strike tournaments. They're pretty entertaining, certainly more than sports.
>>
>>35265672
Well with watching sports it's something than many other people do, so it's easy to find other people interested. And there's the sense of community created around it since lots of other people watch it.
>>
>>35265776
ya a lot of fags if you thats what your into
>>
I get really bored watching sports, but my friends seem to enjoy watching the flow of the game and the surprising ways that flow can get interrupted. You'll see brilliant strategies and carefully laid plans that can be done away with in a moment by a surprising and delightful display of talent and athleticism.

I wish I enjoyed watching hockey since everyone fucking watches it here.
>>
Have you heard of a little thing known as TRADITION or what about CULTURE. People don't follow sports by choice (they're pointless and boring) but it's just ingrained in most peoples lives so they can't help it

>people are fanatical in their 'local' club when it's mostly likely owned by foreign owners with foreign players and manager ect
>>
>>35265867
It's from a time when there was nothing better to do for recreation than kick a ball around in a field.

Now we've got TV and movies and video games and internet and all kinds of way way way cooler more interesting shit to do.
>>
>>35265343
I'm guessing they watch sports to collect conversation material with other fanatics.
That's my guess I guess?
>>
>>35265343
Because it is a game about strong physicality and quick decisions that can determine the outcome of a game. I have friends who watch baseball for the statistics, friends who watch soccer because they get to talk to each other and drink beer, and friends who watch football to watch dudes crash into each other and shit on other teams.

The player base is constantly changing and keeping up with sports requires some level of investment. It is a cultural thing that has been with humanity for a long time. Like it's pretty fucking obvious why people watch sports.
>>
>>35265343
it appeals to our tribal instincts, backing x team which you associate with and invest in emotionally versus team y. bear in mind a lot of this has dissipated in the modern age because of (((rampant commercialism)))

It's always been ridiculous to me that grown men get paid millions of dollars a year to play children's games.

At least watch real sports like boxing or track & field.
>>
>>35265343
dunno
I usually get bored in 5 minutes and then have to feign interest
>>
>>35265343
Because you nerds were never athletes. Therefore you can't relate to Whats going on during the games. If you ever played a sport and were good at it. You could look at another player and analyse their abilities and potential. You watch these athletes and try to imagine yourself in their shoes and what choices you would make vs what they are actually doing.
>>
>>35266353
It's a different statement to be upset that athletes are paid so much and to say you don't understand why people watch sports. Track and Field only matter in the Olympics, but boxing is pretty sweet.

They are paid that much because there is enough demand for sports from people to afford those amounts. The culture around the high pay largely exists because it will allow sports to continue by creating a dream for disenfranchised kids to look to and train continuously to get out of their shitty neighborhoods. Most people are usually pursuing jobs that pay less than what a sports star makes, but has an enormously lower ceiling to enter.

>implying that's how it is at all especially for the 75% of people who watch sports being lard asses
>>
>>35266515
Yes because someblard asses used to be in shape and play sports or where the fat kid playing sports badly for a short time etc. They experience the game one day or another and therefore relate to others who are in a similar setup.
>>
>>35266579
>implying

look I played little league too and even basketball at church meetings over the weekends I even enjoyed it but to make pretend spectator sports aren't a complete bore is total bullshit, 90% of hockey's fanbase never stepped foot on ice
>>
>>35265461
hahahaha, you seriously consider yourself superior to normies because you play vidya while they watch sports.

The only sports I watch are e-sports, but that is just pathetic desu.
>>
>>35265343
high testosterone if you're male, seeking validation if you're female.

this is why most robots/"nerd" types aren't into sports, low testosterone.
>>
>>35265343
wwe is entertaining t b h
>>
>>35266628
Well that's a statistic I don't think is very accurate. I think because your past experiences in sports sucked you willing disassociate yourself from the whole scene as to not remind yourself how much you could never compare. Some people have other reasons they like to watch sports as mentioned above but mostly the common fan likes to relate and understand in some way to what their watching. An athletic event that I think would still appeal to most men who have normal levels of testosterone and aren't passive cucks would be something like the gladiator games of Rome. Now that would be some awesome shit to watch no matter if your a manlet nerd or pussy smashing Chad.
>>
>>35266833
see you're totally wrong there buddy, I'd totally watch gladiatorial Roman games but watching 9 innings of baseballs or 15 seconds of niggers colliding into each other followed by three minute commercials is for brain-dead mongoloids that probably never read a book cover to cover in their lives
