I got tested and they said I was autistic but I don't know if that's a formal diagnosis. I stopped going because psychology isn't a real science.

Autism and mental retardation are two completely different things.
Autism, especially since DSM 5, is a Spectum disorder. Ranging in severity from people who will need constant care their whole lives, to people who are incredibly successful and independent and are leading experts in their fields.
