What's your favourite boss from the Souls series, and why?
For me it's the Dancer of the Boreal valley, because of her beautiful design and arena, haunting soundtrack, and perfect level of challenge.
It was the kind of boss that seemed impossible at first, but once I learned her moveset I became able to take her down without taking a single hit.

Lord Gwyn.
>>35238140
The dancer was easy as fuck.
I guessI like Artorias, mainly cause I beat him in a stupid way that I didn't use anywhere else in the game, and he was perfectly difficult unlike a lot of other bosses.
Manus.
leading up to him, seeing the abyss slowly taking over, finally reaching the Abyss and stopping in my tracks upon hitting the entrance to it, feeling sad after Artorias.
such good story telling without having to say anything.

Manus didn't leave much of an impression on me. Mostly cause I looked for but never found sif and Kaathe in the abyss so the area didn't reguster, and also cause I beat manus within five tries.
the hydra of Ash Lake should count as a boss.
The dancer as well for me, OP.
Patrician tastes.
I like a few of them.
Champion Gundyr's a nice and solid fight
and it's always fun to help other players with him via jolly cooperation
I also quite like Aldrich since it's got a good rhythm and flow to it
And I also quite like Sinh from DS2
Ludwig the Accursed from Bloodborne. No Dark Souls boss can top the epicness of this fight.

For me, it is the McChicken.

i guess it was more of the events leading up to Manus as much as it was just that fight it's self.
i half-assed the DLC hard because it pissed me off and i ended up skipping Kalameet.
>>35238357
I skipped kalameet too.
>>35238353
The old hunters bosses were all bullshit levels of difficult. Except for the failed experiments or whatever that were easy.
>>35238140
Abyss Watchers, more because of lore and soundtrack than difficulty.
>>35238140
Crossbreed priscilla is my favorite boss in a different way
>>35238417
The visual effects on the second form were also pretty neat.
I still get a kick out of watching him dash across the room and seeing the trail of flames erupt in his wake.

AAAHHHYOU WERE AT MY SIDE ALL ALONG

Kekking at you beta
>>35238571
The nameless king is super badass. And so is the soul of cinder.
>>35238582
You're forgetting Sister Friede.
>>35238627
Haven't fought her yet.
>>35238582
I guess, but the soul of cinder is just a rehash of ds1. It feels too cheap to play off as "lore reasons" ya know?
>>35238640
I just like it for nostalgia purposes. And its the closest you get to player characters fighting each other from seperate games.
I think in terms of aesthetics it has to be the gaping dragon or the dancer, but in terms of the actual fight I think the nameless king was the best (or, (inb4 my opinion means nothing now), the pursuer)
>>35238661
I just started a new game in Dark Souls 2 a couple days ago, and I was honestly suprised by how much the Pursuer fight stood out to me as good among all the shitty fights in the game.
Fighting him at a low level on the rooftop in the forest of fallen giants was especially fun.

Best atmosphere in the series imo.

Best boss in Demons Souls.
>>35238140
Maiden Astraea probably. DeS had the most interesting bosses IMO, challenge is overrated.
I like Artorias and Gwyn a lot though.
