I have been on this wretched website for ten fucking years and it has not changed in any significant way, at all. /r9k/ is still full of MUH FEELS MUH GF except worse because now there's no unique image requirement, /adv/ is still LMAO SHOULD I TALK TO THIS GIRL, /ck/ is still fast food discussion, /g/ is still brand wars, and /v/ is somehow just as awful as always despite having three whole fucking containment boards (four if you count /mlp/)

/v/ was better before G2 though. Moot installed those awful mods during it, and some of them didn't go away afterwards. Plus they lost a lot of people to cripplechan.

/pol/ lost people to cripplechan too, but on a much smaller scale, and they recovered afterwards, in fact I've never seen /pol/ as energized and fun to be on than at any other time except the Zimmerman trial.

4chan's boards have always had pretty much the same style of culture over the years (except /b/). Changes are usually due to a shift in what's considered "edgy". In 2007 it was a lot harder to be edgy, today anything right of a pseudo-marxist ANTIFA member is "edgy". The culture of this place has changed to reflect that.
