Elona+ is one of my favorite games lately because there's so much to do. Want to own a personal palace? You can do it. Want a harem of little girls who also kick ass? Sure. Want to slay gods? Nothing stopping you. You can even make those gods your party members if you feel like it.

If you know anything about dnd it might be the best game you'll ever play. If not it might be too idiosyncratic to learn how to play. I recommend playing both the first the second along with the expansion to the second since they create a nice little trilogy even if the throne of bhaal expansion is a weak finisher. The enhanced edition rerelease is fine but try to not add any of the new npcs to your party since their writing us really awful.

Have you ever played Starcraft: Brood War?

You might have heard it was a pretty big game at one point. It's a true corner stone of gaming, perhaps the biggest RTS (a sadly moribund genre) and also responsible for the MOBA craze, the first MOBA type game was a custom scenario for SC:BW.

A lot of people still play online despite going on 2 decades now and having a series of sequels.

Experienced players are on another plane of existence compared to noobies in this game in a way that is almost unique, but there is a big single player campaign and a noobie can enjoy matches against the computer too.

It will run flawlessly on basically anything and the sprites, sounds and effects are still pleasing in a way. It was a very polished game.

I feel like people who didn't at least dip their feet into competitive classic RTS might as well have missed out on video games entirely.
