Is community college the worst meme on /r9k/ at the moment? I

you don't get a bachelors at a CC. most use it as a stepping stone to transfer to a real college

Community college is awesome. You can either get credits and then transfer them to a university to fulfill your gened requirements, or you can get a 2 year degree that will let you work as a paralegal or something.

The homework load is reasonable, the profs aren't such hardasses, and you still learn a lot anyway.

What's the alternative then? Have no credentials at all? Or go 40k into debt without any guarantee of paying it back? CC gets you a job that's not stacking shelves at a grocery store. Not everybody has to be a fucking rocket scientist.

Other than being cheaper CC also HELPS you get into more exclusive schools because you're filling a gap that a freshman or sophomore left behind when they dropped out, and on paper you're a junior
