I dont really care about how or why I look bad or why people don't like me, and by "dont care" yes I do mean I give up on fixing the problem if I could, which I still will never know

meanwhile my female friend has a crush on a guy who looks like Gene Ween because he's charismatic, he's fun, and most importantly he has lots of betabux.

I mean usually when people have one area where they know they're lacking, they build up other areas so that they can still feel like they have some value. If you're ugly and you're letting yourself be beaten down by life because of it, it's kind of reinforcing stereotypes that ugly people are lesser beings than pretty ones.
