I'm something of a LL! connoisseur. The show, despite being generic as all hell plot-wise, hit me hard in the feels because basically every girl has a coming of age, reminding me how utterly emotionally stagnant I am in my own life.

This show always struck me as odd in that everyone has a close connection, but almost unhealthily so. Remember "Wonder Zone" when Kotori dared to have a life outside of the group? She was literally stalked by literally all 8 of the others because she got some maid cafe job. Kind of makes me feel like I wouldn't want all of that.

Well lucky for you, Love Live doesn't have romantic shit in it. Most school-themed anime doesn't either because the Japanese are triggered by that shit too. Sometimes there maybe certain hints or allusions to it, but nothing becomes of it in the end because it's either a plot device or a running gag and rarely the point of the show. People on /a/ complain about this constantly, but I find it relieving.
