I don't understand peoples' obsession with having the latest and greatest, and this is coming from someone who is into cars. The idea of having a car note is foreign to me. I would love to have a new Mustang GT or STI, but those are 40k cars. A GT86 is much more "affordable" to me, but buying a new car is a giant waste of money.

For now I'll just keep driving my 06 Accord until the wheels fall off. When I have enough money saved, I'm going to buy a C6 Z06 outright. Fuck the jews at the banks and dealerships.

Hey now, building a $2000 gaming machine once every ~6 years or so is a worthy spend. Upgrade it 2-3 years at ~$300-500 for the best mid range video card that offers significant upside when performance starts dropping, and you're set for when you do want to game.

rio is the window manager, pleb. UI Toolkits like GTK and Qt are what handle high PPI as far as your UI goes.

Load a font testing on your phone and computer
Put your phone up to your monitor
Zoom in/out on the phone until the text is roughly the same size
If you can't see a CLEAR difference then you need glasses. The sharpness never goes away either.

Everybody at work freaks the hell out when I tell them I don't have a car or a driver's license and how their parents wouldn't drive them to work or they wouldn't drive their kids to work.
I don't really find it strange to be in your late 20s and choose to not drive a car. There are people at work who have to get driven to work because of DUIs or something, but for some reason I'm the one who always gets berated for not driving and not them.
