Every single day a district nurse turns up at my house to replace medical gauze packed into a surgical fleshwound next to my anus.
I took the year off of university because I was going to spend most of it in hospital anyway.
Every single visit - "Any plans for today?"
"Are you going out at all?"
"Are you seeing your friends?"
I do my best to smile and nod, but it makes me fucking seethe. What on earth do they expect me to be doing 'outside'? There's no reason for me to leave the house besides grocery shopping.
