Mmmmm, might make some of that tonight since it got cold again.
Usually I'll make some tea and eat a chocolate bar, very tasty when you give yourself time to savor the contrasts between the two. Specifically I'll typically drink black tea (Brit breakfast, earl gray, or maybe pumpkin spice if I'm feeling white girl). Every once in awhile I will drink green tea.

Coffee, definitely. Occasionally I like tea, specifically earl gray, but coffee provides a wonderful, smokey and earthy flavor along with a pleasant caffeine buzz.

In the evenings I can also go for a nice glass of bourbon or scotch.

Not doing much, just enjoying the weekend before I get bored of it. I think the only time of day that matters now is when I meditate, because everything else is so dull and pointless. Anyone here willing to chat a bit ?

I am a 20 year old med student, and I think I am heading towards a shitty future, socially.

I am sure I am an introvert. I had 3 close friends who I considered to be of top loyalty, but they have drifted away.
One is absent, one is a female far away, and the third is a younger guy.

My problem ( not really sure whether this is really a bad thing ) is that I don't initiate any sort of social connection.

I can sit in my room for hours with internet and food and enjoy it a lot.

If I look at people of the same age, they all have many friends, while when I go to uni, I mostly stay alone, which is making me hate going.

I never had a female friend of the same age. I have no connection to people my age.

What do ?

The weird thing is that I am not even ugly, I lift, I have a decent face and body, but socially, I am fucked up.

Those moments of inner peace are truly something to strive for. I am a big fan of just going to the park and just sitting on a bench for 45 min or so and just letting my mind go and appreciate all the things around me. Only way to even slightly ruin it is when some obnoxious stacies come around although it has to be nice weather for that... Got any similar pics?

I'm in a similar place, anon. In high school I used to have some friends and had things going for me, I'm ugly as fuck but tall and I lifted so it wasn't a big deal. Then I moved to another country to attend uni and stopped lifting and don't have any friends. Didn't go after the first week of the first semester at all, since I hated it. Last month I got a group assignment and it's the most fun I've had in uni since I started, although I'm pretty sure when I see the people now it'll be like we don't know each other.

Hey anon, 30 year old here. You sound like me when I was your age.

As an introvert, I can tell you it's very important to have social balance in your life. It would be very easy for me to stay alone all the time, but I would have missed out on so many fun and interesting experiences. Not only that, but spending time by yourself all the time isn't good for your mental health. It'll begin to wear on you as the years go by.

I know it sounds uncomfortable, but you need to force yourself into social situations. Strike up small conversations with your classmates. Ask them how their weekend was or what they're doing for vacation. Join a club or a team sport that interests you and meet people that way. Force yourself to go out with friends on a Saturday night, and then you can recharge on Sunday.

I really encourage you to step outside your comfort zone. Balance is important, even for us introverts.

I tend to find basic social interaction meaningless, so I oftentimes have drifted between 'friend groups' if you will, hanging on to the few people in each group who I consider to be true friends if you will. However I do constantly think about it like an autist and as such I think there are a couple steps you can take to remedy this problem.

1) Join things, it is said all the time, and it's true. If I didn't join clubs and shit in high school it would have been a far different experience for me. At least by doing that I solidified my cyborg status by playing the social games.

2)Reach out. I can safely say I do the same thing as you and I don't want to call anybody up or anything because I feel like I'm bothering them, which is why I try to counteract this behavior with #1. However if you can change your mindset on this behavior I think you would be well served in the long run.

I used to be somewhat irritated at other people having friends at uni and whatnot, but now I don't really care. Be comfortable in the fact that you can enjoy your own company, there is nothing to be ashamed of in that regard, and if you really want to be more social and make more friends, take small concrete steps and do so (jesus, run on sentence). Otherwise just accept that you are more comfortable by yourself, there is nothing wrong with that. It is similar to a sort of superiority complex mindset I'm advocating for here. (w/o the outwardly condescending behavior ofc)

All the females I have interacted with on a close basis never really interacted with me beyond the immediate connection (via clubs, or what have you) so I would be open to female connection, but the memes might be kinda right in that men make better friends.
