I will say though that when I once tried to say something he just went on an insane rant on how it's not real abuse because he doesn't hit me. A couple of years later when I was 14 he threw a heavy wooden chair at me, so so much for that.

anyway, my childhood was similar but i was hit constantly. i would say that the emotional abuse is worse (although obviously physical abuse can be used to emotionally punish as well). glad you realize you weren't all the terrible things he tried to convince you that you were.
