>work tries to make me work OT
>I only get paid $13/H so I always decline, I just always apply to better jobs in my spare time
>Manager starts being a bitch and passive aggressive
>Starts giving me the shittiest routes and worst store managers
>I end up calling in to go interviews
>Eventually get one that paid $65k+company car
MFW I now make $20 more than him
>>35057473
$65k is really nothing to brag about, but good for ya OP
>>35057502
I know, but the fact I'm making more than him(that's not including bonuses) just feels great
>>35057502
pretty good for no degree
>>35057538
>>35057927
i approve, you owe no employer shit
i'm 5 months into unemployment and hope it doesn't end any time soon
>tfw get paid $13/hr base
>OT is nearly $20/hr
feels good to work a single day and make almost 200 clams
>>35057502
I would kill for a relatively cush 65k job. That's also a huge improvement over 13/hr.
>>35058051
You're happy with $13/H? That's literally poverty rate
>>35058120
Not him, but I'd be lucky to find anything over $10/hr where I live that
>doesn't require a stem degree
and
>isn't hard labour
I really want a degree, but I need money and time to attend school, and I'd do hard labour but I already have a herniated disc right where my back meets my ass limiting my mobility pretty fucking bad.
Some of us just weren't supposed to make it, I guess.
bump for self pity
Lmfao if you make less than 30/h you're literally poverty status
>overtime is supposed to be completely optional
>managers always angry with you if you don't take it when they tell you to
>be fired for an unstated reason the next day
>>35060109
When I worked retail, they would threaten to fire us if we kept racking up more than 40 hours a week by taking other people's shifts. I fucking never got overtime, and the one guy that did got fired for it.
I can't understand how you guys are working for people that actually WANT to give away 1.5 times pay.
>>35060151
>work in retail
>constantly asked to stay overtime to make up for someone else's shitty work
>>35060151
>people that actually WANT to give away 1.5 times pay.
Retail managers get bigger bonus with fewer employees. Being greedy means that the store is understaffed and needs 4 guys to run the store 14 hours a day every day. The amanger himself doesn't pay anyone so it's all win for him.
