I used your advice to get a job and lied/exaggerated my way into a part-time position with an engineering company.
Basically I'd be a technician's assistant and I lied about being able to use LABVIEW, telling them I spent a semester with it. Now they want me to come in to put my information on file tomorrow at 9 am so I can start work, and I might get found out. I didn't think they'd actually call back because I botched the interview.
What do I do? I have another job possibly lined up with a mesh engineering company but that's not guaranteed so I can't listlessly turn these guys down just yet.

Buy a mask and go shoot up the building where your job would be, no one will find out its you and you wont have to work for them

try your best. maybe state you used some other version of labview (whatever that is) and are not familliar with this one and in worst case scenario you will just lose the job you didnt deserve in the first place. or you make it and keep the job. nothing to worry about

Ask them to teach you how to do it at their company as every place is "different". I highly doubt they will throw you into the fire just like that. This is also why you never lie about doing something beyond your capacities. I've lied before too, even landed a hospital job, but how difficult do you think it is to use phones and scanning machines?

>technician's assistant
That guy is going to hate his life. Having an animeposting liar work with him
eh, just watch a few tutorials on the program. You'll probably be fine.
