Anyone else sort of miss the adventure of going into the city centre to look for something you wanted? I just bought a globe because I wanted one and I just went on Amazon and bought one but it got me thinking of when I was young how fun it was to go to the city and try to find stuff. Like before the internet I would have made a day of it exploring around the city. Then I realised how shitty high streets now, they're just clothes shops, those strange random nick nak shops are gone.
Anyone else know this feel?

i get it. most used bookshops, DVD stores, toy stores etc. are just clothes or shoes stres now, there's nothing to shop for if you don't give a fuck about clothes

I'm 33 and have had the internet since before I was old enough to go into the city.
But I know what you mean. I used to like going to used bookstores, or music stores flipping through cds.
Remember going to CD shops and they had those headphones for you to listen to music?
Remember getting excited for an album and having to go to the shop and buy it for what is now the price a monthly Spotify?
Remember going to the video shop with your mates on Friday?
Remember having to prearrange a meet up and when you were out of the house you had no way of contacting your friends?
I remember, I remember it all.

I don't remember that, but I miss the CD stores with headphones and the video shops. I sort of wish music and movies weren't as cheap and easily obtainable as they now are.
