Several girls showed interest in me or asked me out in highschool even though I was an ugly social retard who spent half of my highschool life sitting alone during lunch. These weren't obese or hideous girls and all were easily more attractive physically and socially than I was. I turned them down out of fear of them knowing how much of a loser I actually was and because I thought there would be time later on. Then highschool ended.

I can't really seem to care enough about past mistakes to have any regrets. I've made countless bad desicions, but I can't say I really regret any of them. Doesn't mean I'm likely to make the same mistake, but regretting them seems pointless.

I regret not investing energy into a social safety net that will come in handy when I am too dysfunctional and broken to carry out my activities of daily living.
I will run out of steam eventually. Kek save me.

One thing I learned is that it's never too late to study.
I went from a shitty nurse job where I litterally cleaned shit up everyday off people's asses to IT team manager.
Two years of study (started at 29) and a bit of luck on the interview multiplied my income by 1.5, and my will to go to work by at least 10.

Where I live, school is free, so that might help.

I regret thinking anything about my highschool years was important. People keep posting about "abloobloobloo if I worked harder I wouldn't be here" but that's absolute bullshit. Bad grades are not the source of your problems.
