Not him but I would eat a restaurant once every week for 2 years. Eventually they found out my birthday and sent me a present from all the staff to thank me for being a loyal customer. I have no idea how they found my birthday or home.

Different guy here, I used to eat at this local asian place every other day for like 16 months a few years back, and the owner, his family and some employees came to my birthday because my dad invited them over. I didn't have any friends in real life at the time.
Was awkward as fuck, but I sort of knew them from eating there so often, so it wasn't that bad.

well that's nice of them. i've been ordering from the same family restaurant/local eating establishment for the past 8 years and while the dude is friendly and we chat a bit he always calls me "guy". My name is on the order every fucking time and i always order from this place at least like every other month.
