The real question is what are you going to do when you're 24 and your four years are up? Right now you might have the illusion that you'll become a lifer but four years will be long enough for you to understand the system you are 'serving' and you'll want out. You'll have no education or applicable real life work skills so you'll either end up back at your parents house or with some whore you married while you were in. Veterans have a hell of a time finding decent paying jobs, I've seen it plenty of times with the guys I knew growing up. The military ruined most of them or majorly set them back in life and they regret their time.
