Guns,master tactician, thinking of how I can use the environment to cover, how good an exercised body in top physical condition would feel as I use the butt of a rifle to pound an attackers skull in, the shooting stances, various sorts of drills, outsmarting an outwitting enemies no matter how numerous.

I'm usually myself but much much hotter. And always a fantasy world that's lush and green to start out with like the Shire. OR a wizarding/magical school of some kind. Either Hogwarts, Breakbills, the X-men academy, a garden (from ff8), Starfleet academy.

Its a perfect anime utopia land and my character is an adorable loli sized housewife who lives with her daddy(bf) in a little cottave.

Half the time it's a medieval and I'm leading a crusade purging subhuman goblin, orc, monster scum with a huge sword. Not elves though, elves are bros.

The other half is modern times but with All Might-style super strength

I actually thought about this a lot, and came up with a detailed, if slightly aspie, explanation for it:

It all starts with the game Fallout New Vegas: the player character, Courier Six, decides the fate of the Mojave, by declaring independence, killing House, telling Lanius to fuck off, and cucking the NCR. Afterwards, he uses the resources of the Big Mountain research facility to construct a Rick&Morty style device to transport between universes and the various dimensions they are made of. He wanders for a while, utilizing his freedom to train with various groups in the multiverse, before he decided to enlist with the Systems Alliance in the Mass Effect universe, under the name "Six Shepard." Now, he liked this particular universe so much, he decided to stay for a while, eventually earning the Commander title. Then the entire Mass Effect trilogy happens, and there he falls in love with Tali'Zorah. After the Reapers are defeated, they get married, and for a few years, settled peacefully on Rannoch among the quarians and geth. However, he grew restless, and decided to confide in Tali his secret: he's an interdimensional traveler, and would like to go on adventures through the multiverse with her. She brooded on this for a while, before accepting. Encouraged by this, he told the other former squadmates he was still close to, and together, they left. He returned to the Fallout universe soon after the Second Battle of Hoover Dam, recruited his former companions from there, and went to Big MT. There, be instructed the scientists to build a pocket universe, to act as their base of operations throughout the multiverse. Nowadays, any game I play has the same main character, and sometimes has others along for the ride. Best example is XCOM 2, with a bunch of squadmates as soldiers, and the Commander actually being Six.

tl;dr I justify creating the same character in every game I play by basically making him into the Doctor from Doctor Who.

I like to imagine a world where there is infinite room for advancement or fall from glory, and everyone escalates or falls on their own merits and willpower. Everyone has something like a weak green lantern ring, power is innate and determined by willpower and imagination. And I don't imagine some godlike power. I want to escalate in my own right. I do imagine being fast and agile and having one reliable weapon like a high quality sword or spear or shield. I guess the point is freedom. Not being held down by society that is bitter of its own limitations so it holds others down as well.

I generally just imagine myself as a female character in somewhat generic fantasy games. Like a female dark elf in the vampire side if the dawnguard dlc of skyrim. Or FemRobin in Fire Emblem Awakening. Or FemHawke in Dragon Age.

I do have one character who's not in fantasy and somewhat original. She's basically the world's first and strongest superhero in modern times who has to avoid/resist the military, and occasionally deal with other heroes attacking her, since her powerset is that of Prototype, which makes her a massive threat to the world. Occasionally she gets exported to other game worlds instead of my boring concept of semi-real life.

My fantasy world is just a multiverse with every worlds of fiction I know (and some more I made myself).
In it, I'm the forgotten king of a fallen world who was advanced (like Atlantis).
I realized the futility of life and even in my dreams, I sleep all day.

My favourite fantasy world is filled with overwhelming strong monstergirls and human female knights who fight each other to protect their weak and cute men.
The knights protect villages and citys from beeing invaded by monstergirls as they will rape men for their energy and to create offspring with them. They usually fall in love with their victims too and fiercly protect them from other monstergirls and from beeing taken away by the knights.
