He has great chemistry with Sloan. Can talk to her for hours without skipping a beat or coming across as weird and creepy. He can drive. Even though he only has two friends he still has friends and that alone is enough to disqualify him. He's a failed normie or cyborg at best but he's definitely the closest representation of a robot I've personally seen in a movie, but I haven't watched many.
Being sick and in bed doesn't make him "one of us"
he is a pretty big sperg i feel bad
she would be good for him
he killed himself in the end so yes

Not really, his friends actually cared about him

Pretty much this. He was Ferris' best friend and Ferris actually invited him on outings with him. I don't think I've ever been someone's best friend and I've never been invited to hangout, which should be common to most if not all true robots.

Cameron seemed to be depressed just because his dad was a negligent father. There's nothing showing how he interacts with his peers at school since he was taking a sick day during the movie. What we do see is that he interacted socially with Ferris (super popular guy) and Ferris' girlfriend. Both Ferris and Sloan treated Cameron with respect. Even if Ferris was a bit hard on him, he ultimately had his best interests at heart and included him in everything. Cameron is also super tall and seems to be at least an average looking guy? (no homo)
Conclusion: not a robot.

Not robot, but he was just a generic beta subnormie
