When I was in secondary school I tried to ask a girl out once, but it creeped her out, so I never tried again.

A few times different girls tried to do that cruel "prank" where one of them tells you their friend wants to go out with you.

It never worked, because in all honesty, I knew my place; I couldn't even imagine anybody wanting to ask me out, and doing it by proxy?

To this day even though I'm not a virgin I can't actually establish an emotional connection to anybody.
