The premise is they take the food back to their queen and the queen eats it and dies.
To take care of mosquitos, scientists have been making special male mosquitos that make the females sterile when they fuck them. We are literally cucking mosquitos out of existence. No species deserves it more.

however poison nectar would kill everything else that drinks it
