It makes you a non-elitist who likes to play games and use a proper home environment.
This is unacceptable for many people. They want everyone to have dev environments at their homes. Or the outdated versions of windows which already doesn't have a proper support for dx11, let alone dx12 (cya in 3 years when you won't be able to play any new games).

I can't be a productive developer without linux. But I also can't be a sane person without windows on my home pc. And windows10 is amazing btw.

major privacy issues. The anon below is ignoring this outright. Things as blatant as everything you search for on your computer being sent to microsoft, not to mention your fucking background and files on your desktop, as well as potentially anything else on your computer.

win10 is a black box, since it is closed source we cannot be certain what they are or are not collecting, and they do not tell us. Obviously there are people who simply do not give a shit, but that's not a good way to live - I encourage you to care slightly more about your data privacy
